Megan is the main photographer and voice for True Cotton Storytellers. She has been photographing professionally for over 15 years.

We are a husband and wife photography & videography team based in the Midwest. We believe we were born to be storytellers.
We love capturing each couple’s story and sharing what makes them unique and special. We value relationships and getting to know our clients. We don’t want to just shoot your wedding, we want to rejoice in your day with your family and friends as we capture those special moments!
In 2012, we filmed/photographed our first wedding together and enjoyed working together so much we decided to start our business doing just that. Interesting fact: Our company name True Cotton is a combination of our names; True (Megan’s maiden name) and Cotton (Chad’s last name). Together we are True Cotton.
Megan’s background is in photojournalism and graphic design. She has been shooting professionally since 2005. She has worked for the Kansas City Star, Lawrence Journal World, Wichita Eagle and the Houston Chronicle. Chad discovered his love for film making while he was still in the military. Chad was active duty for 7 years in the Army and served in Iraq. He has been doing film work for nonprofits and corporations since 2012 after getting out of the military.
We got married in May 2013, moved to Bend, Oregon in 2019 and recently moved back to the midwest to be near family. We have a five year old boy, two Boston Terriers, and a Border Collie named Lizzie.
